University of California Santa Cruz

At the University of California-Santa Cruz, which opened in 1965, undergraduate students pursue 61 majors supervised by divisional deans of humanities, physical & biological sciences, social sciences and the arts. All UC Santa Cruz undergraduates are affiliated with one of ten residential colleges. Each college provides academic support, organizes student activities and sponsors events that enhance the intellectual and social life of the campus. Every college community includes students with diverse backgrounds and academic goals. One’s college affiliation is independent of one’s choice of major.
Graduate students work toward graduate certificates, master's degrees or doctoral degrees in 32 academic fields under the supervision of the divisional and graduate deans.

Current enrollment is approximately 15,000 students. For more information, visit www.ucsc.edu/public.
